📣 Hey <!everyone>, I am launching the RI Floppy Disk project 💾 (Deadline - 25th August ⏰) A lot of members here have mentioned that it would be awesome if all the info from these threads were in one place 🧵 And today, I realized we had an option to enable a free Pro trial for this Slack for a month 😱😇 So here’s the plan to collate all the conversations in one place (before the trial expires on 25th August).  1. Go to a particular message thread. Click the Save threads command (from the Dots app) to save it to a Notion DB (check below screenshot) 2. If you don’t know what to save, check out old RI newsletters (Top 5 threads) and start saving them to the notion DB. And maybe we can also divide the work of checking out the old newsletters. 3. Don’t worry about 2 (or more) members saving the same threads. We will clean out duplicate entries when we’re done. Right now, the focus is only on saving, aka crowdsourced curation.  I hope everyone will chip in because otherwise, filtering 200k messages is too much of a heavy lift for one person.

Hey <!everyone>, Here's a note that @aloof-microphone-56302 sent me regarding tomorrow's session 🔥 Part 1 (30 mins):  How to get break analysis/paralysis in personal finance Target audience - People who have not started yet with their PF journey. Are confused by reading too much info and don't know how to structure things, how to get started, not sure if they are being too aggressive or being too safe. Have a lot of money sitting in savings account/FD and some in risky assets (Crypto) but don't have a framework behind how to invest across different assets.  This is NOT for people who know what they are doing. People who have an emergency fund, some money in FDs, some in MFs, some in stock, and know how to do asset allocation. This is not for them.  Output: This will get you started with an investment with a guarantee that things won't go to shit. Blindly follow this and you will be OK. However, this doesn't maximise returns. This doesn't promise to make you rich. This will get you started and make you some money but don't compare your returns with your friend who has bought bitcoin.  Once you get started, you get the hang of things, and then you can slowly start to tweak things based on what works for you.
