Quick question: I've been away from puppet for a while. I've got a module I've inherited that unfortunately insists on using individual templates for a whole slew of otherwise duplicated configs. I tried setting up a central template and using a '../central_template/template.erb' trick, and the server choked on that. I tried symlinks with relative paths, same deal. Is there any trick I can use to use relative paths? The module I inherited is looking in a directory for each config, expecting

template.erb

to be there. I wanted to redirect it using either symlink or injecting a

/../

into the template path.

Anyone using puppetserver 8.1 with puppetdb on RHEL 8.8? I'm getting a java error when starting puppetdb UnsupportedClassVersionError for HikariDataSource Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0. I already installed java-11-openjdk.x86_64. Any ideas how to fix this?

you want Yumrepo['ms_repo']

Yum::Repos is a variable that creates yumrepo resources

Technically, since all managed repos are confined, you can do

require => Class['yum']

In fact I do it in our profile, which makes it simplier
