do you have a systemd service refresh resource anywhere? Remember, in the DSL, you are not notifyng the service itself. You are notifying the Puppet resource that controls the service you wish to refresh.

It's not any different from other resources

notify => Systemd::Unit_file['myservice.service'],

and a side note, try to avoid 'puppet://' notation

another advantage of

fact()

is that it's easier to find all your fact references when the paths change again 🙂
