If you have any questions/suggestions for anything related to the console, any of the console services (RBAC, Classifier, Activity Service) or the Orchestrator, ask away.

Hello from the CAT team as well!! Due to a weird scheduling error we will also be hosting our office hours at the same time! Sooooo, maybe add the team name your trying to reach when you ask your questions

had no questions but as both of you are here.. I’m using PDK to manage the Bolt “control repo” and it’s nice 😄

@Cas Donoghue are there plans to vendor ed25519 and bcrypt_pbkdf gems in bolt, to support ssh transport with ed25519 keys, instead of only legacy rsa?

We do ship those gems on non-windows IIRC. More generally though: With puppet 8 on the horizon we have enough of a changeset to do a major bolt version change (many of these changes will be in the system packages like ruby 3 interpreter etc) This will be an opportunity to ship the latest 7.x series of net-ssh which as I understand it has much better support for modern algos

I think it still requires those two gems?

Are you not seeing those gems shipped in bolt packages?
  • b

at least not on windows. In old linux packages there weren't shipped as well. I don't know if that changed.
