Question for puppet core team, can
    augeas

Another question for the puppet core team, any guesses on when there will be
    puppet-server
    and

excellent, the lense compatibility bug is masking some of my behavior

Unfortunately, I don't have an estimate on when. Augeas bumps have bitten us in the past, trying to compile on all supported platforms.

About puppetserver and puppetdb on RHEL9 (https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/SERVER-3239, https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/PDB-5569) those are handled by other teams, and I'm unfortunately not sure when those will be available.

Understood, I can confirm the EL8 packages run fine on EL9 (as I'm manually pulling it down and loading it myself)

I'm curious how you are seeing "Unable to serialize catalog to json, retrying with pson" Are you adding binary content to the catalog, maybe kerberos keytab file?

The reason I mention this is we'd like to get rid of PSON, since (de-)serialization is slow (implemented in ruby) as compared to json (implemented in native code). And it usually means binary data got into the catalog somehow, which then must be sanitized when inserting into reports, puppetdb, etc

    Based on the doc for
    binary_file
, can it take an absolute path like
    file?

    yeah it should accept absolute

cool, it doesn't have the "also accept" section like the
    file
function does, so I thought i'd double check
