If I run
nf-core modules test ... -profile conda
on my Mac, osx-arm64 is always chosen to load the conda packages. Is there a way to circumvent that (I tried installing nf-core tools into a conda env with
conda config --env --set subdir osx-64
)?

If you're on osx, then only osx compiled binaries will run so not sure that there's much you can do about this to be honest.
You could try running within a linux/arch docker container that's running with emulation, then installing with conda inside that
Or using a remote system, such as GitPod (that's often what I resort to)

I tried running from a console that emulates but it seems thats not enough. I'll try your suggestions then. Thanks!

You can probably also run the tests inside a Virtual Machine. Coincidentally, I have one that should be suitable, because I needed to run Singularity on OsX for developing
nf-core download
that uses
singularity pull
at times.
