Hi there, I am currently working on a module for gene-based tests on GWAS summary statistics. I have already implemented a MultiQC report, but as it doesn’t provide all the functionality I would like to have in my report, I am looking for a more flexible solution (for example having various symbols in scatterplots, using slider and so on). I found various options for reports like Quarto (saw this also in another nf core module), static Plotly html, Dash, Stlite (I browser Streamlit) or Vuegen (I have also found the nf core modules/vuegen module). Do you have any standards or recommendations for other reports? Would you still like to see also a MultiQC report?

Maybe worth noting that you can use MultiQC as a library and maybe have the best of both worlds. For example, have a streamlit app for interactivity that uses MultiQC to parse the data and generate plots. There's actually an example repo of exactly this: https://github.com/MultiQC/example-streamlit
It depends a bit on what you're doing, but many people aren't aware that MultiQC can do this, so thought it worth pointing out 🙂

@Phil Ewels thank you for your help, that looks pretty useful. I was not aware of that possibility either. I will definitely try that out.
