Hi there, I am on a nextflow version before the workflow-level outputs and I have a question. I have a process that produces many, many files and I want one of those files to be a hard copy and all other to be symlinks. Without using workflow level outputs, is the easiest way to do this to have a second dummy process that just takes that one output from the first process and returns it back as is and then specify that this second process should save output as a hard copy? I hope my explanation makes sense, happy to elaborate further.

This is exactly the kind of reason that we had for wanting to publish channels instead of processes 😅 🫠
You might be able to do it with publishDir though, using
pattern
. See for example here: https://github.com/nf-core/methylseq/blob/5aa56467a85a5e2d6795ea72dfa5a5f0c9babc23/conf/modules/fastqc.config#L4-L15
So have two patterns with different `mode`s

Yes, this is exactly what I has hoping for. Thank you for the pointer!
