Hi, hopefully the right channel for this question. I'm looking into adding a touch command in stub for the optional png output channel in the nanoplot module (since this is missing and should be included), and also wanted to update the nf-test accordingly. At the moment, tests for the output are commented out:
Copy code
{ assert snapshot(
                    process.out.html[0][1].collect { p -> file(p).name },
                    file(process.out.txt[0][1]).name,
                    // file(process.out.png[0][1]).name, optional
                    // file(process.out.log[0][1]).name, name contains date
                    process.out.versions
                    ).match()
                }
I can't produce any output for the optional png channel when running the test, and I guess that is the reason why it has been commented out prior. Do anyone have any ideas why this output can't be generated through the test when it can when solely running the module on its own with testdata? And how to handle this in the nf-test. Should it only be checked in the stub test?

I guess you refer to
nanoplot
, pulling image and running the test locally..gimme a second!

I tried with
--format png
and it doesn't work. This is probably because
chrome
is not present in the container. Log says:
Copy code
Plotly could not fetch or find Chrome automatically

Kaleido requires Google Chrome to be installed.
If you need those PNGs and the HTML files are not good enough, you will probably have to update the conda env and containers to get those I 'm afraid

Okay I see, thank you.
