not sure yet

now reading the tokenization

@User https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/RegExp/test

looks like the string token includes the quotes

and those quotes get passed on to queryselector

(not sure)

and that's not a valid selector

Ah! that makes sense

trying to think of a temp workaround for you

Thank you for looking into this, I'll find a work around. Should I create a ticket for this?

maybe

:is(#form-id)select

no whitespace

Thank you but dont spend your time on this, I'll just emit an event onChange and use

hx-trigger=event-name

already spent 🙂

Interesting... let me try that

https://github.com/bigskysoftware/htmx/blob/9e3d33f90d495b0415160462333e999fb10a12fa/test/attributes/hx-trigger.js#L352 there are a bunch of tests that go "from clause works wıth *", might want to add one that's "from clause works with quoted selector"

note the colon on

:is

well i tried

Thank you very much for your time.

looks like a bug, sorry folks

I will add a test and try to fix today

To be clear, you are trying to match this selector:

#usageDetailForm select

so selects within #usageDetailForm

Here is a demo that uses an event filter to achieve that:

Thank you!

It works like a charm!

Hi folks! I would like to ask a general, I'd say beginner question. Just came across HTMX and I started experimenting with it, looks great, I am planning to use it with Django. 🙂 My question: what is the best practice if I would like to update 3 different sections on a page simultaneously. These sections are separated from each other by other html elements that I dont want to refresh, so I cant put them into the same div and swap that div once. If I had only one div I can achieve it like this: (I'd like to trigger the swap from javascript as there is some custom form submit logic there): htmx.trigger(htmx.find('#my_form'), "testTrigger"); and the form would look like this: What to do if I have 3 sections to update? Besides creating 3 divs for the 3 sections and 2 additional duplicates of this form and then swapping each div with one-one form triggered by htmx.trigger what better option do I have if I want to update the 3 sections simultaneously? I tried to figure it out based on the documentation but I couldn't find something that would help. Thanks a lot! 🙂
