    Does it take a jquery identifier expression as input?
  • b
    You might be albe to simply specify multiple IDs

    Seems that the issue is the type of element that I try to do the hx-get with. If it is an input, it will not work, but if I make it a button it does
  • b
    So my issue was due to the fact that the input elements have the default event trigger set to be "changed" which is also specified in the documentation. My input was of type button however and so the natural trigger for that element would be I assumed "click". But it seems to not be the case
  • m
    interesting, that sounds like a bug
  • m
    we should default to click fo rinputs of type button
  • b
    I can make a PR for that
  • b
    I looked where it was
  • b
    However I didn't know if it's because it's indended or not because it is indeed that the inputs all have the changed event as a natural default I think, except for the button
  • b
    so it's a grey area and could possibly be confusing on other ends

    @User Just made a PR to demo.js to include POST data. Here's the demo https://codepen.io/jreviews/pen/JjOMmYO?editors=1010

    you absolute king! 👑
  • e
    @User Is there any way to use hx-select to select/replace more than one node in the DOM ?
  • e
    This because I do not control the HTML I want to include. I mean cannot easily tune it.
  • m
    not really at this point, however I can imagine a custom swap extension that facilitates this
  • m
    @User getting pretty sick of this:
  • e
    @User do you mean I could write it with the current extension support ?
  • m
    lmk when you are done porting our static site hosting to go
  • m
    yep
  • m
    We can all build serverless htmx apps now
  • m
    something like "splat-swap" or something, which takes an attribute of css selector pairs and swaps them all from the content
  • m
    truly, htmx is ready for web 3.0
  • b
    @User In case you wanted that input type think I was mentioning fixed, I made a PR for it
  • b
  • b
    Not sure how it stacks up with everything else
  • m
    thank you I will look at it today
  • m
    as well as @User change
  • g
    On it

    Is there a way to swap content into a ? Below give a targetError but if change hx-target to outer_testchart1 and swap in a new fragment with a complete + it kind of works. Chart is rendered but canvas layout change. Like some class attributes for canvas gets lost somehow.
    Copy code
    <a hx-get="/c1" hx-target="#testchart1" hx-swap="innerHTML">Update</a>

<div class="canvas-wrapper" id="outer_testchart1">
    <canvas class="chart" id="testchart1"></canvas>
</div>
    Example return from /c1:
    Copy code
    <canvas class="chart" id="testchart1"></canvas>
<script>
    var testchart = document.getElementById("testchart1");
    var myChart1 = new Chart(testchart, {})
</script>
