    Yeah, not sure what the issue is
  • g
  • m
    HX-Redirect
    needs to be a response header, it isn't an attribute
  • g
    ah
  • g
    It's still injecting the redirect into the current page
  • g
    document.body.addEventListener('htmx:configRequest', (event) => { event.detail.headers['X-CSRFToken'] = '{{ csrf_token }}'; event.detail.headers['HX-Redirect'] = "{% url 'app:main_index' %}"; })
  • g
    That's how I'm referencing it
  • m
    what are you using for your back end?
  • g
    django
  • m
  • m
    you want to do this server side, setting a response header using the Django api
  • m
    (I'm not a django dev, so if this doesn't work maybe ask in #864934037381971988 )
  • g
    Gotcha. I'll try that
  • g
    No, I think the example you gave me is correct

    Thanks!

    did this work?

    I love the websocket support for htmx but I'm curious if it can be extended to handle Phoenix's Channels? Normal JS to use them would look like this:
    Copy code
    js
let socket = new Socket("/socket", {params: {token: window.userToken}})

var chan = socket.channel("rooms:lobby", {})

chan.push("new:msg", {user: ...})

chan.on("new:msg", msg => {
      $messages.append(this.messageTemplate(msg))
      scrollTo(0, document.body.scrollHeight)
})

    It's not much different than raw websockets but has some extra features I think.
  • m
    sounds doable
  • m
    we are moving the web socket and sse support out of the core library soon (sorry @User ) to allow for more development in both without blowing out the core library
  • g
    @User I was able to get hx-redirect working properly. I discovered the transition animations (which is neat) and I would like that to work with hx-indicator, but that combination doesn't seem to play well

    hi all, htmx looks great so far, props to the author(s) šŸ˜„
  • w
    I started trying out HTMX, and ended up publishing some NPM packages and documenting an example project (w/ Fastify & Vite) on GitHub. Maybe you want to take a glance and give some feedback. It's at https://github.com/wscherphof/fastify-htmxample.
  • e
    neat, I'm not using node, but I'll check it out
  • w
    Ah, and only now I stumble on this page: https://htmx.org/server-examples/ šŸ˜„
  • w
    OK, but those are more like showcases, where mine is like OK, so if you want to build a real app with this (also integrating with modern pure JavaScript libraries, in my case e.g. https://openlayers.org/), how to set everything up?
  • g
    Sorry? Iā€™m all for it!
  • m
    just sorry how long it has taken to get that out
