very interesting!

It's basically a YCombinator SAFE, but shorter, and in some situations you do not even give up equity.

I may be in the market for this in a few years!

Yeah been doing some deep diving into what's out there at the moment for founder-friendly raising of capital.

tbh 1cg. Keep me on your call list ha. If something takes off for me, count me in for re-investing into something you're doing.

I am replacing parts of an old project site by site with HTMX, and I use a bootstrap carousel on one of them - how would I replace it with HTMX to get the same look and feel? Maybe swapping with animation? Does anyone know of examples? If nothing comes up, I will go for tabs I think (https://htmx.org/examples/tabs-hyperscript/)

Can I make an work as a link by using hx-get? Problem is I dont want to replace any content but instead navigate to that url.

In that case, you might just use an event handler

onclick=“window.location=‘/new-url’”

I haven’t seen a carousel widget in htmx/hyperscript but it could certainly be done. Probably something that would use hx-get to lazy load images in scroll.

I’m trying to collect a library of widgets at https://github.com/benpate/hyperscript-widgets — I’ll make a note to give this a shot when I have a chance.

That would be awesome 🙂

If you really want that sliding look, you'll need to do it w/ front end tech unfortunately

Yes. But it'll probably be minimal front-end code w/ hyperscript, and use htmx to load. I'll play with it and see what I can come up with. I'll also HAPPILY accept pull requests if anyone has a widget to use as a starting point.

htmx at 5% in the django developer survey! https://lp.jetbrains.com/django-developer-survey-2021-486/

I have the following snippet which is returned by hx-get attached to an Edit button. When I use either the Save or Cancel button while watching the Network tab in Developer Tools, I see the appropriate hx-put and hx-get execute, then the list of calls is cleared and all the scripts and css files from my page are reloaded (from cache on the browser) and I can't see the original hx-put or hx-get. There's a bug in the hx-put and I want to see the results. How can I avoid these unneeded reloads? (Note: there's some mako substitution syntax in this html which I'm pretty sure is working correctly) >

<tr>
> <td><form id="form-${rss.row_id}"><input class="form-control" type="text" name="name" value="${rss.name}" /></form></td>
> <td><input form="form-${rss.row_id}" class="form-control" type="url" name="url" value="${rss.url}" /></td>
> <td>
> <button form="form-${rss.row_id}" class="btn btn-success" hx-put="/rss-setup/${rss.row_id}" hx-target="closest tr" hx-swap="outerHTML">Save</button>
> <button form="form-${rss.row_id}" class="btn btn-outline-danger" hx-get="/rss-setup/${rss.row_id}" hx-target="closest tr" hx-swap="outerHTML">Cancel</button>
> </td>
> </tr>

can you move the

hx-put

to the form, so it properly cancels the submit event?

or have the form cancel the submit event itself

moving the hx-put to the form, IMO, is cleaner

right now the button is issuing the put and still triggering the form submission, which is nuking your page

Thanks. I had it that way before I added the Cancel button, but I can't trigger both the put and the get from different buttons if the form is "driving". I'll try to suppress the form post with js.

should

hx-trigger="load[target.value.length>3]"

work? or is "load" special/different in some way?

load might be special in that it's a synthetic event let me look

😞 sorry, it is special

This works

hx-trigger="manual, change[target.value.length > 3 ], keyup[target.value.length > 3] changed delay:400ms"
_="on load if my.value.length > 3 then send manual to me"

if you can log a bug against htmx I will fix it when I have a chance. Work around is to trigger an event via your client side library of choice

🙂

beat me to it

in hyperscript, you get an A+

(i've got an active search input element that i don't want to trigger unless it has an actual input)
