I haven't been able to discover a pattern yet
  • s
I can try, although I am not sure how much time I have available
  • m
Can you describe what the UI is doing?
  • m
first things first, turn on htmx debugging:
    htmx.debug();
  • m
that should show you all the fired events
  • m
one other question, when you say "sometimes it does not" does it stop working and stay not working, or is it intermittent?
  • s
intermittent, the next time it is usually fine again
  • s
It does not know debug, but logAll() shows all the events. Is that fine too?
  • m
    ah, yes, logAll()
  • m
    my bad
  • m
    (too many things going on)
  • s
    No problem, just checking :)
  • s
In this particular case I am trying to set the text of an ordering dropdown to an order as defined in the URL. So when ?order=POPULARITY_DESC is in the URL it should select that dropdown option and say 'Populariteit Aflopend' in the order dropdown
  • s
    desired situation
  • s
    undesired situation
  • s
    very weird situation
  • s
all three happen intermittently without changing the URL
  • s
The last one might be a timing issue on my side, since the afterSettle is executed. But the second picture shows when afterSettle is not executed and it stays on the default
  • s
logAll does show an 'htmx:afterSettle' for the right div when hyperscript does not react to it
  • m
    What is triggering the request?
  • m
OK so that narrows the issue down to hyperscript
  • m
I'm guessing is a queuing issue
  • s
    The hx-trigger is just load
  • m
    really?
  • m
so this just happens when you load the page?
  • m
I wonder if it's a timing issue w/ hyperscript being loaded?
  • m
    can you throw a
    Copy code
on load log "Load from hyperscript"
    in there too?
  • s
    Sure
  • m
and see if that's being logged
  • m
    also, try putting
    on every htmx:afterSettle
that will eliminate any queuing issues
