    a map that doesn't store the key. so you can do
    myWeakMap.set(domElement, "asdasd")
    and that won't prevent the dom element from being garbage collected
  • g
    iongedit
  • g
    so you can store extra state about the element without doing anything to the element itself

    why not just have binary trees for everything?

    I'm confused. Looks like the release 1.6.0 is out on unpkg, but master branch Changelog still shows [1.6.0] - 2021-?-?? Also I could not find anywhere in the docs/reference pages the corresponding version. Forgive me if it is there. I was trying to understand if there is support for
    <script src="">
    as discussed in https://github.com/bigskysoftware/htmx/issues/379

    Copy code
    <form hx-post="/post/obj">
 <input type="submit" value="add">
 <input hx-delete="/delete/obj" type="button" value="delete">
</form>
  • h
    I would expect clicking "add" to fire off a post to /post/obj and clicking "delete" to fire off a request to /delete/obj
  • h
    but I only see if it I add
    hx-trigger="click"
    to the button
  • h
    the docs say: > form is triggered on the submit event > everything else is triggered by the click event
  • h
    so I think the button is wrapped up in the form and not triggering because it's not submitting
  • h
    but I am surprised I need to force the click handler
  • h
    ah but the delete doesn't swap in the form content
  • h
    I think there's probably a better way to structure this html then - should delete just be outside the form?
