Hi, I'm new to coding in general (started python & sql in spring, am just adding html/css) but have been doing websites with databases for almost 10 years as I've been spoiled with Tiki.org 'No-Code/Low-Code' (really just a CMS + Databases). One client had a request that is exactly like https://htmx.org/examples/delete-row/ Of course, it's built into Tiki, but has the same issue that the HTMX example has - a generic pop-up which does not pass any variables in the message (e.g. entry specific field data from the database) to confirm that this is really the entry you would like to delete (e.g. are you sure you would like to delete 'John Doe' (if the text field name is 'patient' and 'John Doe' is the data). Would it need to somehow be used with https://htmx.org/examples/modal-bootstrap/ ?

hx-confirm

onto each row with a row-specific message with the exact message you want

maybe I wasn't clear - the 'message' is static while I'm looking for dynamically added data inside the message (a unique identifier added to the static message) , as it's possible for someone to click one row above or below by accident.

is that dynamic information available when you render the row?

typically pagination would be done on the back end and then you can use the normal htmx attributes to access those URLs

a common pattern is to use

hx-boost

to just boost the paging widget created by a standard paging library

I will look into hx-boost although I am not entierly sure what it does yet..

It basically allows you to swap in the content of links into the current page. It is used for pagination because youd just load the next page of results instead of reloading the whole document

I assume the boost behavior is overridden by more specific HTMX tags so you can gradually replace a boosted site with more tailored requests?

yep, and you can turn it off w/ hx-boost="false" as well, which comes up at times

hey is there a way to scroll a newly swapped div into view? example is I click something at the bottom of the page that swaps a div at the top and I want to go straight to the top without scrolling
