    well, it seems to be de definition : "Processes new content, enabling htmx behavior. This can be useful if you have content that is added to the DOM outside of the normal htmx request cycle but still want htmx attributes to work."

    Yes. If you load content in your own, you’ll need to use 
    htmx.process
    to make it work inside of the library.

    BUT. In most cases you shouldn't need to do this. It's much better if you can rely on 
    hx-get=""
    (and others) to let htmx load any new page fragments for you. It's clearer, easier to manage, and you get more features (like the swap settings that you mentioned above)

    (Sry, was AFK) In my case JS call htmx.ajax , then, the render contain some other htmx need but with a target that is server-rendered+javascript parameters . In my try hx-get are not triggered. So im gonna try htmx.process

    Looking for some help with htmx - when my html is returned via my htmx get I may or may not want to trigger another htmx element to re-'get' it's content. is there an easy way to do this that I am overlooking? I'm looking at the htmx.trigger method but am not sure how to trigger one specific call - there are 6 different htmx elements on this page. I only want to trigger this one:

    a few different approaches: one is to send the extra content down with an out of band swap, rather than triggering an update. Another is to trigger a specific event for each DOM element, and listen for that event, probably on the body: 
    hx-trigger='someEventForMe from:body'

    Hi 1cg, *, I heard about htmx on Michaels show the other day, and I am quite amazed. It fits very nicely into page templates / chameleon, which I use with fastapi (and flask). For me its a missing piece - I have done lots of web dev with python on the backend side, but never liked to get my head around all the js on the frontend. So for me it is a very good match! Thanks a lot everyone!

    I still can't seem to get it quite right. Given the hx-trigger you laid out, I don't know how to dispatch that event. Also, I tried using htmx.ajax with a target id, but it always reload in the body, not the target id. I'm a python guy trying to understand this JS stuff. Which is why I'm loving htmx. I barely need JS any more. Thanks for everything you've done!

    Ah, sorry. I am assuming here that you are triggering the event with a header returned by the request:

    htmx.ajax
    ? (but also, if everything in the context object doesn't get passed along... what's the point of it?) In my case I just need to get the name of a form passed back to the server for rendering the response template.

    Ha, well that's fair. For me, it lets it interact with other parts of the page perfectly, and then be trigged by the javascript. Being able to render a response that includes the original source name is super useful, although it seems I'm pushing the boundaries a bit.

    in the context object, does that get passed along and, if so, what format does data need to be in for it?
