I was having a lot of macro-related compiler errors in haxeui... but I "fixed" it by just disabling the compilation server in VScode
I know it's been brought up before, and it doesn't seem like an easy thing to fix. But man I could not compile twice in a row without an error
In my settings.json, I put "haxe.enableCompilationServer": false and that's it. Hope that helps someone else
Your compiles will be a second slower but you won't waste 30 seconds crashing and restarting the compilation server anyway
And you keep macro'd code completion, since that's a separate thing

i dont use vscode, so im not sure, and where i have used vscode its been fine for the most part - i also have NO idea how to fix it

nope, i wouldnt know what to put in it... im open to suggestions... cant you create it yourself?

tried to copy it from a flixel project and that didnt work

should i just create an OpenFL project and add haxeui to it?

i think the settings.json for the whole of vscode anyways isnt it?

that's only used for storing vscode configurations, which are unrelated to your issue

ok, ive changed the classpath.exlusions to be more specific, not as neat, but better than the blanket exclusions of "openfl" and "lime", especially for weird setups.

as for vscode, i really dont know how to help / what to suggest - i know its a recurring problem (it seems only for some people, only some of the time) and ive tried to fix it LOADS of times with basically no success

you use vscode with haxeui-openfl? (or haxeui in general)

i use it on a linux vm, with a pretty huge project, and have never had any issues, completion is slow but always works :/

my current project is using haxeui openfl in vscode

I keep having issues where when I try to use a Label constructor it tries to import Feathers

because vscode indexes feathers before haxeui

heh, thats a weird one... do you have both in your project.xml?
