    I also tried to run the basic flixel project created by the command and got these errors:

    if you use HaxeUIApp then you dont need to init, its done as part of the app init

    i think you didnt include the backend (haxeui-flixel) as a lib

    I think I found the culprit, I'm getting a 
    The string "--" is not permitted within comments.xml(DashDashInComment)
    in project.xml

    I modified it, before things like 
    <!--WINDOW SETTINGS-->
    were written as 
    <!-----------WINDOW SETTINGS----------->
    giving me the error on the multiple dashes
