If it's not already implemented - this looks to me like a really good point before starting a nice drag-and-drop api!

there is no drag and drop api... tbh, i saw that Kevin was working on a drag and drop lib, id like to play with that and see about implementing something in haxeui-core

the problem with d&d is usecases are quite opinionated

and i dont want to create a pretty large subsystem like that only for it to be wholey ignored because its not up to scratch

yeah, I've found that drag and drop in frameworks like flutter, and the html5 api are actually pretty bad

Drag and drop would be useful in a few cases in my app (moving assets around the tree hierarchy, reordering layers), but they're all quite individual cases

I personally think right click menu's would see more use 🙂

It's hard to get right in terms of api and how it integrates into the framework for sure

exactly... it needs to be generic and specific at the same time 😄

drag and drop is heavenly when it's right for sure though

Seems pretty much ideal for that workflow I messaged you about, where assets could be clicked in the tree, open a tab and directly edited 😍
