    if you remove that and make it "Bob" or whatever in the test app (and obviously have reverted your changes that fix the issue) what happens??

    still it looks like there is some kinks to work out with openfls textengine, so its (hopefully) a temp issue... thanks for spending the time tracking it down and testing stuff... 🙂
