    if i remove the hbox from the item renderer then it works, ive gone through all the code following it down and it all looks fine... but the damned text just doesnt show... and all other backends are just fine... so its pretty annoying / mysterious

    sometimes lix is a pain it seems.... telling me haxeui-core isnt installed but it just installed it.

    odd.... i can't get it to find haxeui-core for openfl...... been working fine for everything else.

    still havent got the menu working right, something about the way lime does things i guess, is throwing it off. that or its the way mme is. i'll keep hammering at it and get something figured out.

    Rested, fresh mind, got caffiene, took my meds, the voices are still trying to help..... good news is, the code you gave me does work in Lime for the menubar. I just didnt notice a small change that I needed to make. it was definately an ID-10-T error on my part.

    TypeError: menuBar.set_onMenuSelected is not a function <----- for some reason when compiled in lime i get this. I know in your build it works fine. Just dropping a note on it here for you. I'm digging around testing some things.
