    I always hesitate on ``color`` or ``colour`` for my projects, but color is less letters so that is what I go with

    I just find it difficult to write it "color" even though I think it should be the case 😛 ( But I'm French, but born in London, but even in French Schools, you usually learn the British spelling)

    i always use color because americans, i feel, have a tougher time adjusting to the correct spelling "colour" 😄

    As time went on, Webster changed the spellings in the book to more phonetic ones. Most of them already existed as alternative spellings.[34] He chose spellings such as defense, color, and traveler, and changed the re to er in words such as center. He also changed tongue to the older spelling tung, but this did not catch on.[35]

    in spanish the spelling is "color" and its a totally different sound to "colour"... so... to me that means, yeah, the spelling (in english) is right (for english)
