^ You should add a notice or something somewhere to make sure people use the haxeui api and not whaver hteir backend supports

I'm adopting that as official policy to avoid running into these issues.

well, id still be interested to see the issue when you get a moment, it might be something silly in haxeui-flixel that could be improved to make things simpler (or it might not 🙂 )

Oh, found another bug that happens on cpp ( at least raylib and openfl )! When there is dropdown with a translatable text attribute like {{PAGE1}}, if you select an item from this dropdown and then change the language, it crashes. You have the error "Error : Invalid field:text " I think ( I'll check later) that if you have a dropdown with a text, you change to dropdown item, and then change dropdown.text, it crashes.

Also, speaking of dropdown, I wonder if there should be an official "placeholder text" . I usually use .text as a placeholder. It would be useful for theses cases; - when putting the selectedItem to null, or the index to -1 , it would show the placeholder ( now it doesn't change the text of the dropdown) - now, if you have "{{SelectItem}}" , you select a dropdown itemA, you change language, it will show {{SelectItem}} instead of itemA ( in html , in cpp, it crashes) . Have a placeholder text, you would make it easier to not have this problem

it's a relative scale, the height and width of the thing will always be the same 😆

will take a look at the combo thing later, problem with a "placeholder" attribute is that its not support on native, but then again neither is arbitrary .text - so maybe its better to have a totally separate property 🤔
