i didnt mean "fame" btw, "recognition" is a better word. Im not interested in "recognition" - i just want it to work

thx 😃 I try to improve things where I can, I'd like to see Haxe become a bit more popular eventually

I've heard "I'll only use haxe for games" a fair bit lol

even within the games niche, it could be far more popular

its a tough one... ive tried to use haxe as "an angle" to cross platform, but it fails after a google search

simply put, its not taken seriously, and it should be

I actually feel like a really solid HaxeUI could help a lot with that 😉

ive ranted about this in various ways, in various places, but the "game" aspect is a problem - though i would argue its a problem with the persons understanding

HaxeUI could be something to point to as a "see, it's not just game frameworks" 😄

it happens to be UI, but the same problem can be solved in many ways

I think react/react-native externs fulfil that criteria as well :<

UI is something that seems particularly interesting cross-platform wise

    im not sure it does

It isn't as integrated/versatile as say, haxeui aims to be

but it's a stepping stone at the least to non-game haxe world

every time something electron-related comes up on reddit / hacker news / etc, a good portion of comments is sad that that's the go-to these days for cross-platform UI, over something more native

VSCode seems like the only decently performing electron app, tbh

lets be honest it not cross platform, its html in a container

(which haxeui can also do btw, i would argue better)
