Is it possible to create multiple images as a book-like sprite with code...? I believe that making it one book-like sprite would greatly increase the image size...
  • s
    Perhaps with a spritesheet, sure.
  • e
Wish I could do something like this...
  • s
    you can do that
  • s
you can use a shader for that
  • e
    Is it a GLSL shader?
  • s
    yes
  • s
    see this ^

The shader language is difficult for me...😣 I want to change the tilt of the sprite as the
    uTime
    value changes.

https://haxeflixel.com/demos/FlxSkewedSprite/ I watched this demo, but I did not know this could be done! I will try it, Thanks to all who helped!

In case you are interested parasol repo has a helloworld tutorial on fragment shaders. It shows the basics and how to update a uniform luke utime from the sprite update() method

anyone know how i can make the hitbox follow the sprite when using scrollfactor
  • w
    You can't
  • w
Scroll factor:0 objects are placed in screen space and collision is world space
  • w
What are you trying to do with this?
  • b
im trying to make a pausesubstate where you can click on objects
  • h
    ? What does this mean?
  • b
So they don’t use flixel 5 exclusive things to help me
  • b
use ur brain for a bit
  • h
I was refering to the "(5 <<< 4 (bcz zoom))" part...
  • b
So they don’t ask why not using flixel 5
  • h
Well I'm asking: why not use 5? What about "zoom"?
  • h
I don't think you understand what you're saying.
  • b
I need the zoom property from flxgame so I use 4
  • h
    Why do you need it?
  • b
Cuz I my game has a special scale
  • b
And calculates the zoom by the game width and game height
  • h
nothing has really changed about the functionality of 'zoom' it was just removed from that constructor because it was redundant/unnecessary/confusing/overcomplicated. Flixel 5+ offers other improvements over ~4 so it's not ideal to want to stick to an old version for only that reason.
  • b
And we are 10 in the project using 4
