    If it's running an Android TV, theoretically you could export a Ceramic app to an Android APK and run that on the TV, but imo it's probably a much easier option to have a laptop around that you plug on the TV with HDMI or similar

    But then you wouldn't be able to use the TV's touchscreen, right?

    Some people have told me this idea to just upload the game to the site itch.io and and you can play there if the game is in html5 or webgl format.

    till your sure of the OS, the answers are not going to be refined. There are quite a few large touchscreen solutions and they maybe running linux, win or android

    but electron certainly will be easy on linux and win and may avoid driver probs

    there is touch support in the hdmi protocol or whatever i think. my school had boards like that and they worked on their own or with a connected device

    If screen touch events are transmitted over the HDMI wire, then neither the server nor the apk are needed. The game will run on a laptop, and the image will be transmitted to a large touchscreen. The feedback of screen touches will be transmitted to the laptop's operating system (windows). This greatly simplifies everything! I'll check it out!

    and one of the advantages of an engine like ceramic is that it can build for multiple platforms

    Android setup can be annoying but it does work. Just saying: it’s fully supported by Ceramic

    Yes,
    Copy code
    haxe
    settings.defaultFont = Fonts.YOUR_FONT;
    (in your Project's constructor)

    I just saw such a thing as HyperLap2D, but I don't quite understand the purpose of this. It says there that it is intended for LibGDX, but it has an open JSON output format and can work with any other engines. I am interested in your opinion, as experts, how useful it can be, and also whether it is possible to use it together with the Ceramic game engine in some way? https://hyperlap2d.rednblack.games/#features

    Oh, a successor of Overlap2D, nice! Theoretically, yes it would be possible to use Ceramic to read Hyperlap2D data, but that would require quite a lot a work. This is even more challenging that it's in alpha state so many things could change in the future. I personally have no plan in doing such things, but as @faint-toothbrush-51643 mentioned, I do plan to make Ceramic compatible with LDtk, which will provide similar editing features as Hyperlap2D, at least as long as we are talking about tilemap-based level design
