i have a very large stack of PRs. gt stops at 50. i'm not trying to post 50 PRs; i'm trying to post updates to the first 10 or so at the bottom of the stack. even though i used --no-stack, gt refuses to post updates. weirdly, it posts an update to the very first PR at the bottom of the stack but then fails. how do i work around this?
here's the behavior i see: gt submit -u --no-verify --no-stack 🥞 Validating that this Graphite stack is ready to submit... 📝 Preparing to submit PRs for the following branches... ▸ shaheen/one (Update code) ▸ shaheen/two (Update code) ▸ shaheen/three (Update code) ... there are ~15 more to update... 🚀 Pushing branches to remote... Running git push: [========================================] 100% | Done 📨 Updating PRs... shaheen/one: app.graphite.com/github/…/1010 (updated) ERROR: Failed to submit PR for shaheen/two: 🥞 Nice stack! Only opening PRs for the first 50 branches in the stack. To open PRs for the upstack branches, please split up the stack (using gt move) or first merge and close some of the downstack PRs. ❯ gt ls ❯ gt ls|grep shaheen|wc 67 806 5224 ❯ gt submit -u --no-verify --no-stack --force 🥞 Validating that this Graphite stack is ready to submit... 📝 Preparing to submit PRs for the following branches... ▸ shaheen/one (No-op) ▸ shaheen/two (No-op) ▸ shaheen/three (No-op) 🆗 All PRs up to date.

hey Shaheen,
--no-stack
 only controls which branches this
gt submit
run includes. It does not bypass Graphite’s cap of 50 open PRs in a single stack. So you would need the open stack to be under 50, then
gt submit
again. Merge or close enough downstack PRs, or split the stack with
gt move
into shorter stacks. Docs for moving: https://graphite.dev/docs/edit-branch-order

i understand; it is a frustrating limitation for me
