I would expect this stack is stored on app.graphite.com somehow.. I can see it there.
B then does gt sync. B has the same branches, but has not explicitlly stacked them.
I would expect that B’s stack now shows the branches as stacked.. I mean, if stacks are updated, everyone with that stack needs to be updated..
What am I missing??Pylon

05/06/2026, 6:12 PMgt sync only updates branches that are already tracked by gt on the local machine. ie doesn't automatically adopt branches from remote just because they exist as a stack on Graphite's server.
So for Dev B's scenario:
1. If B already has the branches tracked in gt (e.g., B previously ran gt track or gt get to pull them, then gt sync will pull down the latest remote state.
2. If B just has the raw git branches (fetched via git fetch / git pull but never tracked in local gt) — then gt doesn't know about them yet. B would need to run gt track to tell gt "hey, these branches are part of a stack" before gt sync will manage them. Alternatively, gt get <branch-name> would fetch and track a specific branch (and its stack) from remote.
