Is it possible for the Graphite UI to use the organization wide PR template in the special
.github
repository when submitting stacks?
p
(If applicable) To help us more clearly understand what you're trying to do, please provide additional details about: - Screenshots / debug logs / list of commands you've tried to run so far - Your workflow - Current state

We have created an Organization
.github
repository, here we created a PR template When I create a Pull Request in the Github UI, the PR template gets applied to the content of the description. When I submit a stack via Graphite CLI, the PR descriptions come as empty
p
Hey Hector, this should definitely work, is your template
.github/pull_request_template.md
or something else? You can also configure the template to use in the cli via
gt config
->
Repo level settings
->
PR Templates
but When no template is set in the CLI config, we use the same GitHub default.
h
I see, the current path is
<REPO_ROOT>/.github/pull_request_template.md
I guess I got a bit thrown off since it works in GithubUI, I will try to set the config explicitly, if not I will move the template and test Thanks!
The configuration CLI
gt config
->
Repo level settings
->
PR Templates
, does not let me to add the template from another repository sad panda I need to clarify that we have two repositories 1. An Org level special
.github
repository that has the template 2. The "work" repository in the same organization, my problem is when I submit a stack in this repo
p
and in that scenario, dont think there is a way to use the cli for it
its a repo level settting
h
> dont think there is a way to use the cli for it What about in the graphite UI?, it could be theoretically possible to grant access to the special
.github
repo and take the description from there? If it is possible in theory, I will create a feature request via the form, as I understand this is not supported today
p
i can capture the request. There is no way to configure any of this in our UI.
