how do i create a 2nd PR in a stack if the parent PR is already merged (because i want to group the changes or something?) or is this unsupported (whether intentionally or not)? my coworker had a PR that was merged, and she tried to do

gt create <name>

on the PR, but every time she tried to do

gt submit

(or

gt submit --stack

), she'd get an error? have put (part of) the log in the thread 🧵

hey again Ally, yeah this is unsupported behavior at present as getting that merged branch fetches it without any changes in it and GitHub does not allow empty PRs. As its PR has already merged you'd need to create a new PR for that branch, which would be a separate stack.
