When working in a stack, is possible to use git to make additional commits, or does that confuse Graphite?
d
totally legal!

Cool
a
We generally recommend one commit per branch to avoid having to repeat rebases on restack though.
d
that's true, you can ask yourself "if i'm making a 2nd commit, could this just be another stacked PR?" (the answer might be no, but often might be yes!)
you might have reasons to split into 2 commits in a single branch, depending on what you're trying to communicate to your reviewer

Currently I use multiple small commits, so I can easily compare what has changed
Though I also use squash and fixup commits a lot
a
That should work as well! You might want to squash before restacking, but you should try it out & let us know what happens
t
Sure, though I don’t know when I get to it. Currently only one stack in my list of PR’s. To make it easier for my co-workers to ease into it
