Hi there! Was able to repro this issue locally - even with the branch merged/deleted, you're correct that

gt

is not deleting the middle merged branch. I'll raise this with @Jacob Gold (our CLI expert) when he's back!

We have some updates planned to

repo sync

that will include handling this case automatically — I think

gt downstack get

miiiiight work today but not 100% sure
