I'm investing the funds in my HSA account. I need to select a cash replenish amount, but I'm confused about these choices. can someone explain the minimum statuary IRS requirement, and why it allows me to hold less than that?
m
What's the question? Just do 1000
f
lol the question is what is the other option? why would one select that one?
m
Bc they are afraid of needing to use the money for medical expenses?
f
what is this "qualifying deductible"? I thought it's just simply pre tax money that goes is in and withdrawals only for qualifying expenses. I don't needa claim anything.
m
It's the money you'd need to pay before your health insurance kicks in
So it's asking if you want to make sure you have that amount set aside
f
oh interesting
it's not specific to the health plan? every health plan has that minimum?
m
There is a federal rule for what is considered a high deductible
f
ah til
and that rule is 3200
