Does M1 offer the opportunity to buy stocks during pre trading hours? Does anyone have experience with buying stocks during pre-trading hours?

which brokers let you donate stocks to a DAF (in my case, Donor's Fund)? I like Webull, but they won't let me, so I'm thinking of moving. I don't want to move to M1 as it is to different from what I'm used to.

Could choosing JEPQ be a good option for a Roth IRA because it has a high dividend, good growth, and those dividends won’t get taxed?

Apologies for this very basic question...🙈 I know the difference between a (fidelity) Roth IRA versus traditional IRA... But, in simple terms, what are the benefits and drawbacks of investing in such an account versus individual account? Thank you!

We're looking to buy a $30K van and trying to decide whether to finance it or sell stock (held in M1) to cover the cost. Is there a good way to estimate how much of the 30k sold would be gains vs principal/loss? (ultimate goal to figure out estimated capital gains tax) We transferred our brokerage account to M1 over a year ago, so most of the holdings are long-term. (Some shares were sold during the transfer.) Another wrinkle here is that the transfer to M1 resulted in having M1 "slices" that are bigger now than the long-term slice goal, and M1 sells the uneven slices first instead of purely on a tax-efficient basis across the whole pie. I'm trying to get enough detail to compare the tax hit vs. the cost of financing. Thanks in advance!

As the dust is settling, the consensus view of most online articles I reviewed was that the 529 is way better option for college (or wedding if happening during college years) savings than the new Trump account however of course it would still be a good idea for everybody to open a trump account to get the 1K from uncle sam, then proceed to use the 529 for the savings

What are the advantages/ disadvantages of doing investing Vs using life insurance and loans from it as your long term savings. Life insurance will 1) encourage consistent savings to keep policy active 2) tax free 3) no effort or desire to follow it because it doesn’t fluctuate much.

I just cancelled my 50k whole life policy (I still have term) with the thought that if I just put away the same money I was spending on it in an index fund it can accomplish the same goal (which was my original goal of whole life) to assist in case of C"V a passing. My question is do I just put it in a brokerage account or my retirement account (401k) to then be accessed in case of need after 59?

What are the best funds for long-term investing? Something I can set and forget, with automatic weekly or monthly contributions? Also, is there any reason to specifically not use Robinhood?

My daughter is starting her first job. I want to set her up properly (mostly to avoid the mistakes I've made 😂). What percentage of her paycheck should automatically go towards investments and what should those investments be?

I have an employer-sponsored HSA in FirstDollar. I'd like to invest a portion of the money (and keep the remaining for medical bills). Should I open an HSA in Fidelity, transfer the moneyn and invest over there? FD charges a small fee per month, plus I don't know what the user experience is like there. I have my other investment accounts already in Fidelity. Any thoughts?
