Sure that's an option. But it's not much different from PoW alliance. It doesn't hurt anybody but benefits everybody.

An account which then represented a project that didn’t really have a path forward and arguably served as exit liquidity recruiting for new members? Charles owned the account and it’s intent was to foster those principals. It didn’t anymore so he gifted it to a project that did foster those principals. That may be a simplistic view but it’s how I interpreted it.

You can't delete your account like that tho. You need to change the "delete account after ... months" to 1 month and leave it

Long term the group that would benefit and needs to act collectively is miners. Specifically gpu miners post merge.

I like PoW alliance because it benefits even the ETC guys
