i had some pretty serious hate coming from a subreddit people in my industry use to advertise, make announcements, etc.

after deleting my posts repeatedly and banning me a couple times, i decided to just start advertising in that subreddit directly - mods can't do a damned thing about it that way

I think to promote Ergo an Infograph checklist with other known layer 1 blockchains should be put in circulation. List all the things that Ergo does and check every category down the column while other layer 1’s have occasional blanks. People can understand Ergo better if they have a reference point and since every retail investor is tribal this might be the only effective way to help them understand which layer 1 has technical superiority. All you have to do is accentuate everything Ergo does well and things that make it unique then the competitors will look lackluster in comparison. People like infographs, they’re simple to digest and quick to survey. They can be retweeted or shared on other social media platforms.

End users want to be able to identify benefiting factors quickly. In the chart of the link provided the most interesting column was notable features. The rest of the columns are more filler than substance for more novice investors. They’re not well versed in which accounting model layer 1’s are using or which consensus mechanism is operating the blockchain. At least not initially. That’s technical jargon. They want to know what do you do better than the names we’re familiar with to make you stand out because if you can outperform let’s say Solana. Then they’ll scratch their heads and say why isn’t anyone talking about Ergo. Ergo can definitely beat Doge. Use Doge as a reference but at the end of the day the Infograph has to check everything down the line for Ergo and leave gaps for the other layer 1’s so the natural conclusion is Ergo’s better than the rest of the pack and they’ll be enticed to get in and join. Lastly the chart in the link is very plain looking and an Infograph can add color to be more aesthetically pleasing to the casual investor’s eyes and the beauty of it is you’re not being negative about the other projects, you’re just documenting everyone’s capabilities. What that does is makes people want to allocate a small portion to Ergo because of the opportunity then once they’re in they’ll want to increase their position as they learn the nuances.

If you feel it’s risky I understand but naturally people are going to compare projects. Which is faster? Which has unique utilities and again you wouldn’t be putting competitors down, you’d just be pointing out features. If I sell Coca Cola I can say it has less calories than Pepsi.
