Suggestion: Consider the roles you ideally want and check on LinkedIn for the profiles of people with those jobs. Check out what certifications, skills, experience, etc., they have. You can even ping those people and ask which classes and such might help you. Why that approach: That can better prep you for opportunities that resonate with you, where you’re more likely to thrive in a sustainable way. And you can grow network in relevant spaces.

Sometimes people think, oh, I should ask a CEO or other high-level person. Why that’s not optimal: If someone is a number of years or jobs ahead of you, conditions have often changed since they were at your career stage. Of course, that’s not an absolute, but that’s common enough, because workplaces and businesses keep evolving.
