Question for everyone coming here from ODCB: What was your favourite part of the ODCB experience? Asking because the <!subteam^S03UVPCU0BS|@ch-team> is trying to keep the spirit of ODCB alive here and this will help us.

Hello, I've started building a community for a product. Although I have things in my mind, I would like to learn from your experiences! From your perspective; • What are the first things I should do? Clarifying the purpose, reaching out to the customers, etc. • What are the basic OKRs I should follow? • Do you have any exciting routines that you can suggest? • When and how to focus on growth?

Hey everyone! We're likely about to go out and get a bridge/small angel round. Wondering if anyone here has really looked into Fairmint and its offering or knows someone who's successfully used it (or unsuccessfully used it as a point of reference). Let me know! Much ❤️ .

Hey all, a question, I'm working on a new community and we're trying to make an educated forecast on what we might expect our Unique visitors per year could be. Our marketing/main website gets around 45k uniques a month, so trying to see if there is any sort of formula that might give us a a fair number to base our contract off of. Any insights, resources you've used or thoughts would be appreciated. TIA - Kris

<!channel> we have a v1 of our Community Hacked Member Directory almost ready to be tested! We would love for 2-3 willing members to help us by offering to be alpha testers, spending 20-30 minutes in the product and giving us feedback before we offer it to everyone. Is anyone willing to help with this? 🙏

Considering starting a web3 communities event series for web2 community-builders to learn and connect. Who would be interested in that?

_*Scenario*_: I wanted to say hello and thank you to the first 60 people in our new community; that's it, just welcome and thanks! Someone else is trying to turn the welcome letter into a survey and asking these 60 people 'what do you like?' and 'what would you change' type of questions. ❓_*Question*_: Why does it feel so wrong to me to turn this welcome note into a survey? Is there really any problem with saying hi & thanks you while also asking for feedback to these early adopters?

Would it be helpful to people here to be sent an email with a sort of summary of CH slack/CH membership activity each week? I am hearing that sometimes it can be hard to keep up/know all that is going on and that the more you miss sometimes the less engaged it makes you! Would love to hear feedback in the comments

I like weekly summaries and highlights that happen in the community. I go through some busy weeks at work where it's hard to login to Slack to check in on the channels.

I agree, I'd love a Friday recap of the top 3-5 threads. It might not be fully filled out in these early days but I imagine we'll get there pretty quickly 🙂

I think the email recap is also another way to point everyone back to the community. If we have insights, we'll hop on slack to chime in.

Not sure how you decide what’s a “top” thread, so I’d instead include 2-5 topics discussed in the community + the channels, so members can easily locate the discussed to engage/read comments from their peers.

My biggest event's budget was just cut significantly, so now I need to plan to cover it with sponsorships. The last time I organized sponsorships was pre-covid (a bit more flex/inflated sponsorship budgets all around). Does anyone here have current experience with event sponsorships esp in this climate and what I can realistically budget out? Happy to hop on the phone with anyone for 15 minutes or so 🙏

Looking for some Slack help. Want to build a Slack Workflow automation for our internal fund portfolio onboarding process, likely through webhooks (Airtable/Zapier). Right now I have a Slack automation setup via Airtable when founders submit the onboarding form and it just lists the tasks as bullet points in Slack. I want each bullet/task to have to be "checked off" (via an emoji reaction or something), and if we don't do it in X days (or sequentially from last task), then it will auto-remind..."hey, you still need to do this task in the onboarding!" Would love for it to connect back end to Airtable and auto-fill company/founder names (currently does this via Airtable automation), but okay if not. Is this even possible?
