What is the best way to use templates in coder? For example I'm using docker. If you have reactjs developers, should you make a template with a react base template already installed?

An if you need a database for development for example. Would you install the db in the same workspace you are coding? Or would you create a seperate workspace with your database server install (ex. MongoDB, MySQL). Or would you handle databases seperatly from coder? What is your best practise?

@cian - Thanks, I assumed curl could do ca cert verification on its own, but am now learning it needs a cert library. You learn something new everyday. 😄

well i'd do one container = one dev and it isn't worth running multiple containers I feel

Also, spinning up database servers, even as their own containers, takes time. I'd suggest having a database ready and waiting and only offering access or rather setting up access would be much more efficient and also less resource intensive, in the end.

But, to each his own, I guess. 🙂

well, you could technically prompt the dev with multiple docker images he could use to set up a db quickly

meh, it's relatively fast with the docker mysql/postgres images

so it's up to you, but I just realised using a separate workspace might be worth it just for the ease of setup with prebuilt docker images that already exist out there

Did anyone try to run applications via X2Go in a coder workspace? I seem to have issues connecting :/

hey.. so been looking at coder for a bit and running a poc now. We would probably need to do the Enterprise license to really scale it to the level we need. Can someone PM me costs and such? Also I'd want to know what level of support you would offer... we are doing to need some help getting it setup right I think.
