I want to add this since I miss it, but it's eating out (first exit from my region after the first lockdown) during the summer. This is THE Cotoletta alla Milanese. Coke and cutleries for scale.

Just change timezone or come to Italy (once you can...) 😛 @User missed eating out with Jade and I when she came to Italy due to flight times and jetlag... I won't share those food photos.

this is a perfect thing to build with workers IMO https://www.producthunt.com/posts/unilink-for-instagram

Yo actually same tho, I reserve the science for buying things and explaining why stuff works after the fact, but when I cook it just throwing random things into a pot or pan and seeing what happens

For sure! I had a lot of Italian fusion growing up because Mom grew up in Italy for part of her life - she still talks about it all the time and gives me random Italian stuff ahaha

I'm working on an integration with redux-persist and cloudflare durable objects, anyone wanna collab? This would enable user-state to be persisted to the cloudflare edge 😎

ooh i'd be keen to chat about that @User , I've been thinking about persisting an Apollo cache at the edge for a user session in order to make subscriptions a bit simpler but... it's a bit nebulous in my mind atm

During my conversation with @Greg-McKeon and @albert-zhao we discussed that users would need to store an object ID in the browsers local storage and send requests to an API I'd have to write which uses Cloudflare Durable Objects for storage. I'm not sure what NPM library exists for the client side only that redux-persist is extendable and local storage isn't the only option. These IDs are not easily guessed although rolling out my own auth or encrypting the data and encrypting with a client side key might be helpful. One unclear thing is can I update an existing object or do I have to make a new one for each change. This would be problematic.

I will have to do a bit of research on redux-persist as I have never extended it or cached state server side before.

I'd also need a way maybe on login to get the same state ID. Allowing cross browser state synchronization.

Would be an interesting use case.

Other problem is still passing data to MongoDB from Cloudflare Workers. I know they're working with Mongo to get that supported through an API. Maybe one day a custom ORM could be built.

In the Community there is this topic about Workers... anyone on the team can either jump in there and answer or provide an explanation that I can forward to the user...? Basically, what is the meaning of always lowest latency? Is there a higher cold-start frequency or some other delay somewhere? He obviously counts network latency in the figure, which is not the correct way to measure.

The MongoDB is managed by you?
