This is clearly a restriction your team has placed on me specifically

A throttle is not a rate limit, if youre getting throttled thats not the same as getting rate limited

Hi team. I am wanting to explore R2 as a way to server secure download files from WooCommerce and Wordpress. Is this possible similar to how S3+cloudfront can do this? We server around 3PB of bandwidth annually from around 1TB of source files. My understanding is that this would cost around $15 per month for storage and then $4.50 / million requests (Class A) after 1M request per month and $0.36 / million requests (Class B) after 10 million request per month. Is this correct?

That sounds correct, a tad bit less for the storage as you get 10gb free but that wont matter much on this scale.

I suggest you use caution, you may be restricted as I was, and without violating the TOS

And you may not be able to solve the problem for a long time

Cloudflare is fully capable of preventing this from happening

This only happens if you are serving video content, and this will be resolved by support (I've not heard of a case where it hasn't). You happened to be restricted at a bad time, during the weekend. You're not going to get any more help from here, you'll have to wait for engineering to respond.

Yes. You’ll want to put the cache in front if it’s static assets (product assets/images) so they’re faster for users, but that takes < 5 minutes. Similar to having CloudFront in front - gives you a cache.

@碧空Faraway unfortunately I had the same issue a while back. It took almost a month to get the issue resolved. Just giving you a heads up but you might need to find a temporary solution or other video host in the mean time

For video, I assume you should use Cloudflare Stream right? OK to serve Video .zip downloads from R2 or is that against TOS?

Thanks so much @Elither. Do you have a rough estimate of what that would cost per year? Know any good devs (paid of course) that could help me with implementation?

R2's cost is just storage & operations

Cached reads don't incur any R2 operations
