Folders do not exist, they're entirely virtual off the prefix

i.e if the prefix is "/", you have a virtual folder like structure

but the second you delete all files in the folder, the folder is gone and a folder cannot exist without any files in it iirc some clients like cyberduck get around this by creating a hidden file like "folder/.hidden"

So if I set up R2 I'll easily be able to move all my files and folders over from what's currently on my FTP server?

Also would like to know if, say, I decided to upload a 20 GB file and leave it there for a week or two, how much would I end up being charged if a couple of people download it in that time period? Are we talking £100 or £5? Just want an idea since the pricing confuses me a bit.

There's a lot of S3 clients, both command line and graphical that you can use with R2. If no one file you have is bigger then 300 MB, you can probably just ftp down your files to a local directory and use the dashboard to mass upload all of them

    In total it's more than 300MB, but I don't think there's a single file that's 300MB.

The downloading part is much less of a factor, as you get charged the same for downloads regardless of file size. It's just a single Class B per

Regardless of what happens with charges, it'll be less than what I pay with my current provider.

The storage part is more interesting. If you kept your 20 GB file for 1 week, it would be ~5 GB-month you would get charged for at the end

Would be cool if it just told you how much your next charge will be based on what you've done.
