Yeah you can do that. Also use other tools like the s3 CLI

Nice. Guessing it doesn't have FTP/SFTP support? I can understand why it wouldn't.

Folders are entirely virtual. You can upload folders to the UI and it will "handle them", fundementally it's just an object with a path like
    root/subfolder/cookie.png
  • r

    Ryder Cragie

    05/13/2023, 6:47 PM
So you just name a file that?

    05/13/2023, 6:48 PM
You could do it like that, yea. The Web UI has a switch you can see there "view prefixes as directories" where you can view the flattened bucket vs the virtual folders

So you can view them as folders? It's not gonna end up a mess?

I have like 20 folders per domain currently. This really is not going to work...

If you had a file named
    root/subfolder/cookie.png
, you can fetch it via your custom domain at r2.example.com/root/subfolder/cookie.png

idk what you mean by that

    05/13/2023, 6:50 PM
Well if I just use the example1/example2/example3/image.png method and do that for everything, it'll just look a mess and stuff will be everywhere.

The dashboard by default would view them in the virtual folder view, letting you see them as folders/etc

    05/13/2023, 6:50 PM
I thought it just showed the file name as the folder path.

nah sorry for confusing, that is an option you can have by unchecking
    View prefixes as directories
in the top right, but it's not the default

Soon will there be functionality to create a folder rather than having to rename it to /////filename.png ?

    Or drag the folder in?
