Hi everyone. I've been tasked with getting our ad...
# lucee

Hi everyone. I've been tasked with getting our adobe CF app converted to using Lucee w/ commandbox. I'm new to both. My boss asked that the server be set up in
Single Mode
, but I'm not sure where to set this value so that it's correct when then server starts. Here is a copy of
server.json
. Thanks for any help or direction šŸ˜€
Copy code
{
  "name": "test-dev",
  "scripts": {},
  "cfConfigFile": "../cfconfig/config.json",
  "openBrowser": true,
  "debug": false,
  "trace": false,
  "console": false,
  "profile": "development",
  "jvm": {},
  "web": {
    "bindings": {
      "HTTP": {
        "listen": "127.0.0.1:3535"
      }
    }
  },
  "app": {
    "cfengine": "${CF_ENGINE}"
  }
}
add
"singleServerMode":true
to your server.json

hey thanks for the reply. I believe have tried that, but perhaps I made a typo. Let me try agin.
r
oh i think I have misunderstood this setting
ā˜šŸ» 1
This is a global setting which you have to enable
config set server.singleServerMode=true
d
ah ok, thanks! I will try that
r
Honestly i have never used this setting. Make sure you have latest version of commandbox as this was realeased with version 6
Also give a shout out to @bdw429s if you run into more issues. He is the author and somewhat of a real life wizard.
d
Great thanks. I'm on version 6. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way šŸ¤“
s
may want to google for lucee context mode, probably referring to that, which would be a setting in the config file
b
Let's back up, are you asking about • Lucee's single context mode? • or CommandBox's single server mode?
Because these are different things, and neither of them are configured in the
server.json
šŸ™‚
@Daniel R
d
Yes I've learned that. I did not know about commandbox's single server mode until this thread. I was referring to lucee's single context mode. Is there a way to set that via the cfConfig file I am pointing to from my
server.json
above?
b
No, I need to add it to CFConfig
But CFConfig in general has some issues with Lucee 6 and needs some more work to fully support it
Lucee moved to a JSOn format itself
it will still read the XML on first start, but not on subsequent starts, so it causes issues
I was going to add the single server flag when I added Lucee 6 support
in the mean time, you'd need to start the server in default mode and then go in and change it in the LUcee admin
d
Ah okay, thanks for your help! šŸ˜€
