@Torie Warren Saanika's mom came in asking if she could be moved up to level II. I let her know she would have to be evaled for that level and I would have to check in with her instructors. She said the class was too easy and mom wants to know if she could use that for a trial class.

This would just be handled in the typical way any level question would. Explain the following: • It's still the very beginning of the season so we are in the intro phase which is typically on the easier side. The class will progressively become more challenging as the season goes on • There's 4 levels so dancers should expect to spend 2-3 years at each level • You'll check with her instructor on how the class level was but they haven't flagged it as being an incorrect level as of now ◦ IF the teacher notifies us that it is the incorrect level then we will have her do a trial in the next level class

Thank you, this is what I explained to mom in person besides how long each dancer stays in a level. She did mention that most of her classmates from last season are is level II so that could also be a factor, but regardless I'll let mom know again.

Yea we never get into the concept of who around her are in what level. Rithik and abbie have been in level 1 and level 1/2 for like 3-4 years and this is their first year going into a full on level 2 class I just checked their history and this dancer literally just joined in April. TBH knowing that I wouldn't even do this whole process of asking the teachers and x, y, z. I'd give them the feedback and that Ken didn't flag her as being in the wrong level or needing to move up and that, again, the class will progressively grow more challenging throughout the year. Her spending at least one full season in a level 1 class is fully acceptable and normal.
