@bsek having a break? 😃

👍
hah dont i know it lol
i have copilot working on some of my old code/updates atm to try and bring them back upto date with trunk, so they can be merged

I have it generating an overview of the changes I made, aswell as listing the changes thoroughly to reimplement - aswell as changes to individual gfx drivers so they are in synch with the core changes.
The end result should be gfx driver "hidds" that now expose one or more actual display class objects representing the real displays each can handle. The screen compositing and software cursor handling get rolled up into the base display class implementation (killing fakegfx.hidd in the process), and the display mode enumeration is cleaned up to use a base dmenum class to manage the actual display mode database used by the system, and individual drivers. The gfx driver init code is also a little changes so that drivers get launched in separate tasks from the boot process (to trap issues/crashing in the driver and stop it halting the boot process),

interesting, support for multimonitor is cool. DMEnum stands for (display mode enum??)
k
yeah exactly
it handles allocating the mode id's etc for the displays connected to a device instance to use - aswell as exposing them to the system via graphics.library
b
I see...is this nearly done, or si there much work left to do?
k
i had it mostly done - just needed to finish migrating the software cursor code to the new display class composition code.
the core changes where done and tested/working
