That's what's I thought I remembered, they presented it in a way that made it simple by saying person A can do blah blah blah then person B goes, then person C skips so person D can go, then person C can go. But I was thinking that more thought out turns by higher level play might need to have person A do x move so person D can do Y attack then person B moves and attacks and then person A will attack Of course with Animus permitting

Thats the way I understand it. The way the rules are written, each other person would be 'passing' so you can move/act again. So really you can just move and attack in any order with any character until you decide to stop or run out of animus

Hence the opinion why the rules are worded really unintuitively here.

I think they were trying to minimize downtime between players, if the players aren't really working together.

Yeah, it was a really weird way of saying "one side goes, then the other side goes". Especially since they aren't limited to one ability per Oathsworn phase. Just one per "turn". But each phases is made up of multiple turns. So it's really just until: 1. You run out of Animus 2. You want to save Animus 3. You run out of abilities 4. You run out of actions (too far away to do anything, for instance)

Yes but some item cards can be played and trigger battleflow

Don’t none of the items trigger battleflow? They don’t move other cards when placed in cooldown, but ability cards move them around.

Correct. Items do not battle flow.

That's true. Items don't battle flow

Items don't flow in battle. This is correct.

It's ok. Just don't let it happen again.

Yes it's used unless the encounter switches to a new stage.

You get just a benefit against it throughout rerolls from the traits.

Yes the order of characters activation is relatively lose from a specific order.

I would say they are really straight forward written.

That's not entirely true. Most items have the icons for not battleflow. But when the have, they do.

I've got a question, I think I know the answer but it feels unintuitive. It's to do with a level 2 cur card so I'll blank out the rest just in case anyone is avoiding looking ahead. || the card is dodge, for reference, add to your defence instead of a defence card and guess the total damage value from the enemy, get within 1 of the actual value, take no damage. || || essentially, I was targeted by an attack with knockback, guessed well enough and took no damage. I still take the knockback though because the attack didn't miss? Going by the rules as written, a boss attack can't miss so you'll always take the knockback? Just seems a little counter intuitive considering by the flavour of the card, I dodged the attack. ||

Yes, it's counter intuitive, but you played it right. Maybe it should be written.

    ||...] get within 1 of the actual value, the attack has no effect on you, or count as being out of range. 🤔||

    || or simpler still, the attack misses. Maybe it's a case of avoiding everything would have been too strong an affect. I guess in terms of thinking about it you could see it as dodging to take the strength out of the blow but not avoiding it completely. More of an 'evade' rather than a 'dodge'. It's a great card regardless just thematically gave me a moment of questioning||

event/deepwood both start with 1-6. As you draw from them you'll archive the drawn event. Certain other things will cause cards to be added to them
