Finally finished my terrain and got some glamour shots in. These pieces are the largest things I've painted so far and were an absolute blast to work on. I'm looking forward to finishing the game with terrain that matches the grim dark world.

I've loved every version of the cabins I've seen, and I really love the claw marks you put on the door! I'm getting ready to paint mine... Is there a canonical answer to whether the roof shingles are slate or wood?

Did you airbrush OSL from the cysts on the tree? Looks great whatever the technique.

Thanks! The claw marks were a random moment of inspiration. I would assume the roof is wood as slate would probably be harder to come by in the Deepwood. I painted the cysts white with an airbrush after zenithal priming. I avoided painting the white area while I did the rest of the tree. Then I came back with a couple colors of purple/pink followed by a wash of brown. They look a little darker in real life as the pictures increase the contrast.

I painted them with plague bearer flesh contrast, the thin shade of red wash. After the momy was sealed, I used nurgle rot(the green slimy) and blood for the blood(for the blood, obviously)God. These are both technical colors from citadel (GWs paint range). And some gloss varnish.

Same bases, that are shared. Which gave me the thought to add some scenery and spice them up.

I'm hesitant to start painting Oathsworn, because I'm so all-in on the game and don't want to "ruin" any minis. Can you please be hyper-critical of this paint job from a different game and how I can improve?

The scale is around 3x or 4x Oathsworn

Thanks, I'm hoping to pick up tips on the sword/machete and red bandana in particular. Also, I wish I knew how to incorporate more color on the "sores," comparing them to some of the awesome pink/purple glowing cysts on the trees I've seen here.

weapon looks fine. probly want more disparate colors between the handle & the steel part. For things like sores/cysts it's some wet blending & glazing to build a gradual color shift
