I did not wash mine, I just primed them. No real issues.

Been using mine for practice to try and get into the style I want to use before testing anything out on the high ticket characters 😁 test a few colour options out

I washed them just because they felt a little like there was something still on the surface, had glued some parts before that point and had no issues

@V-Rex and @Ikras thanks! I now washed the ones that felt very dusty and had no problems.

That's a good approach. I will test my Airbrush at the terrain before ruining models 😅

That's a great result, especially for someone very new to painting, as you stated!

With cement glue you should be able to wash them, since cement glue is not really a glue but kinda melts the plastic together via chemical reaction (as far as I understood it). So it shouldn't be water-solvable. At least with Revell Contacta, that is the case. Don't know if every Cement Glue works that way. But can confirm that priming without washing first was not a problem, there seems to be no solvent left on the models!

Yeah, normally I paint with very bright saturated tones and it just didn't seem right for this game so I'm trying something much more muted and hopefully more fitting with the theme We'll see how it works out

Right. Prepare yerselves. Genuine question, don't laugh ya monsters 😅 A couple of my trees and house terrain frosted right the hell up today when I spray varnished 😒 Sad times, I forgot this wis a thing when yer no careful. The colour is just wiped right out now, trees are dull as hell 😞. I read on old forums about...wait for it...olive oil being used tae get rid of it as an active agent 😆 Has anyone used that and does it work on Matt varnish, or is that some online urban myth? I am definitely no fir repainting or stripping it all off is all, alot of paint and effort there. Suppose a quick highlight of a few things and gloss might work? Any help anyone?

I've used vegetable oil to clear up a frosty varnish. Works fine.

Ah nice. Will give some terrain a wee baste in olive oil then like it's a chicken. Other than making me hungry, what's the worst that could happen.

A little oregano wouldn't hurt either. Some garlic. Onions. Crushed tomatoes. Ooh!

Olive oil will work, but don't dunk it. Add it to a qtip and then gently wipe it off. You can also use gloss varnish, as mentioned earlier, which should remove the frosting, and you can then try a matt again.

Few. Just finished the brood. I’ll let them dry and tomorrow I’ll take some nicer photos in the sunlight.

Just finished the Cur. What do you think? Was unsure of what colours to use. Overall trying to give all my figures a purple undertone so went with purple

Looks great. Game artists are also obsessed with purple so that plays well into your preference hahaha
